This Privacy Policy explains how Leone Digital Africa Limited and all products operating under our company collect, use, store, and protect your personal information. We take privacy seriously. We collect only what we need, protect what we hold, and give you control over your data.

Who we are

Leone Digital Africa Limited is a technology company incorporated in Ghana. We operate the following products, each subject to this Privacy Policy:

  • PinGH (pingh.africa) — Business directory for Ghana
  • shoploGH (shoploGH.com) — Business cash tracking SaaS for Ghana
  • LabEase (labease.app) — Lab result explainer for Africa and the world
  • HakiGH (hakigh.com) — Ghana constitutional rights web app
  • MyPawPedia (mypawpedia.com) — Pet care guides, worldwide
  • LardiGH (lardigh.com) — School management system for Ghana
  • XPGhana (xpghana.com) — Travel media platform, worldwide

What data we collect and why

We only collect personal data that is necessary for each product to function. The table below summarises what each product collects.

We do not collect data for advertising purposes. We do not sell your data. We do not share your data with third parties for marketing.

How we use your data

We use your personal data only for the purposes described at the point of collection. Specifically:

  • To provide and operate the product you are using
  • To verify your identity where required (e.g. phone OTP verification on PinGH)
  • To send you transactional communications related to your account (e.g. plan renewal notices for shoploGH or LardiGH)
  • To respond to your support requests or enquiries
  • To comply with our legal obligations under Ghanaian law and, where applicable, GDPR

We do not use your data for automated decision-making that has legal or significant effects on you. We do not create profiles for advertising targeting.

Legal basis for processing

We process your personal data on the following legal grounds:

  • Contract: When processing is necessary to deliver a product or service you have signed up for (e.g. shoploGH subscription, LardiGH school account, PinGH business listing).
  • Consent: When you voluntarily provide data such as an email address for a waitlist or newsletter. You may withdraw consent at any time by contacting us.
  • Legitimate interests: For basic operational functions such as preventing fraud, securing our systems, and improving product reliability.
  • Legal obligation: Where Ghanaian law or applicable regulations require us to retain or process certain records.

For users in the European Economic Area (EEA) or United Kingdom, we rely on the same bases under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and UK GDPR respectively.

Data storage and security

Your data is stored on secure cloud infrastructure. We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest. Access to your data is restricted to personnel who need it to operate the relevant product.

LabEase note: Lab values entered into LabEase are processed entirely in memory and are never written to disk or any database. Nothing you enter into LabEase is stored after your session ends.

We retain your data only for as long as necessary to provide the product or as required by law. When you close your account or request deletion, your data is permanently deleted within 24 hours of your verified request.

Despite our security measures, no system is completely secure. If you believe your data has been compromised, contact us immediately at info@leonedigitalafrica.com.

Your rights

Depending on where you are located, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Right to access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Right to correction: Request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Right to deletion: Request that we delete your data. We will process deletion requests within 24 hours of verification.
  • Right to restriction: Request that we limit how we use your data while a dispute is resolved.
  • Right to portability: Request your data in a structured, machine-readable format (where technically feasible).
  • Right to object: Object to processing based on legitimate interests.
  • Right to withdraw consent: Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.

If you are in the EEA or UK and believe we have not handled your data correctly, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. In Ghana, the relevant body is the Data Protection Commission under the Data Protection Act 2012 (Act 843).

Cookies and tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies only where strictly necessary for our products to function (e.g. keeping you logged in to shoploGH or LardiGH). We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics that profile your behaviour across websites.

XPGhana uses Google Analytics to measure anonymous traffic. This is configured without personalised advertising features. You may opt out by using a browser extension such as the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

You can control cookie settings in your browser. Disabling cookies may affect the functionality of some products that require you to stay logged in.

Third-party services

Some of our products use third-party infrastructure to operate. We select providers carefully and require them to protect your data:

  • Google Firebase — used by shoploGH and LardiGH for secure data storage and authentication. Firebase is GDPR-compliant.
  • Cloudflare — used for website hosting, DDoS protection, and performance. Cloudflare processes minimal data for network security purposes.
  • Anthropic Claude API — used by LabEase and MyPawPedia to generate explanations and guides. Data sent to the API is subject to Anthropic’s privacy policy. LabEase sends no personally identifiable information to the API.
  • Google Analytics — used on XPGhana for anonymous traffic measurement.

We do not share your personal data with any third party for commercial or marketing purposes without your explicit consent.

Children’s privacy

Our products are not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. LardiGH collects student data on behalf of subscribing schools; in these cases, the school acts as the data controller and is responsible for obtaining any required parental consents under applicable law.

If you believe we have inadvertently collected data from a child, please contact us immediately and we will delete it promptly.

International data transfers

Leone Digital Africa Limited is based in Ghana. Some of our infrastructure providers are based in other countries. Where data is transferred internationally, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, including contractual protections consistent with GDPR requirements for users in the EEA.

LabEase is designed specifically to avoid transferring any personally identifiable health data internationally. All data entered into LabEase is processed in the user’s browser session and never transmitted to our servers.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify affected users by email.

Continued use of our products after changes to this policy constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. We recommend reviewing this page periodically.
